Today Dundee based James L Wallace and Robert Samson in Broughty Ferry are changing name to William Purves Funeral Directors.
William Purves took over Robert Samson and James L Wallace seven years ago (2015) when the previous owner sought out another trusted family business to provide a compassionate and professional service for his customers. Now operating under the William Purves umbrella, both funeral directors will continue serving the Dundee, Broughty Ferry and wider Tayside and Angus area in the same locations with the same team: Robert, Stephen, Tommy, Rod, Joan and Alisha.
Says Chairman Tim Purves: “The time is right to unite our brand names and recognise the incredible work of our team in this area. As a fifth generation family business, we know the importance of community. Both branches are vital parts of our family and bringing them under the William Purves name ensures they can continue to support their families with the highest quality of funeral care.”
